Joe the Boss

Destination plays out

Back in 1997 when Joe the Boss first entered the recording studios of Brea based Love and Laughter Music, one would have never believed that after countless musicians and a few more lines and battle scars the debut CD entitled “Passion and Pain” would reach it final destination.

It was a long awaiting process “says Ron Gonzales (drummer). JTB will now venture in support of their true labor of love. With Key musicians in place, Ivan King, Vocals, Damian Heredia Bass and Keyboards, Ron Gonzales Drums, and now joined by Bill Fountain, guitars. The band is suited and ready to show their true colors Live!

When talking to the members, the strong point of the band seems to be the writes, when all members write it makes for no shortage in material. This leads the Band to believe they are just getting started and they should expect an amazing journey that has just launched.

The CD Notes:

The debut release of Joe the Boss, “Passion and Pain” was a long anticipated journey, one that saw the evolution of a bar band into a full showcase project. Passion and Pain was release in October 2008 on JBC Records. Assistance from veteran musicians such as, Mark Caro, Abattoir fame, Todd Shiroma, Kings Road, and Calvin Banks, formally of Big Mountain. Combined with the experience of Joe the Boss’s Chicago Blues guitarist, rock drums (from the former cult band Commander) Bass lines of (Zeppelin Band) Black dog and on the read vocal experience of ( Edwin McCain & Hootie ) the signature sound was struck in the studio. It reinvented and elevated the band to the next level.

The CD was produce and engineered by Mario Garcia and Joe the Boss. Partnering with great experience and many different shadows of the world has always been the cornerstone for Joe The Boss. Not only is this original Rock music more than exceptional to their fans, but their set lists leave a lot of room for  ( Rolling on the River, Motown sounds, Chicago & Elton John’s classic rock and much more…..( set list by request ).
